John G. "Jack" Jashelski, 83, of Deerfield, Illinois passed away on February 18, 2025. Beloved husband of Lee (née Cioni) for 59 years, loving father to Stacey Gordon (Matthew), and Chad (Jennifer); devoted grandpa to Jack, Stella, Daniel and Charlotte; dear brother to Elaine Mueller (Lawrence) and Phronia Russell (the late William Russell) and proud uncle and friend of many.
Born on June 4, 1941, in Libertyville, and raised in Highwood, Jack was a passionate sports fan, with football being his greatest love. He was affectionately known as "shoes" by his close friends, a nod to his speed as a running back on the Highland Park High School football team. Jack's enthusiasm for the game led him to coach the Highwood Indians, member of the Northern Illinois Jr. Football League, for several years.
After his 32-year career as a driver salesman for Consolidated Freightways (CF), he spent a portion of his 20-year retirement as a ranger at the Pine Meadow Golf Course in Mundelein and also worke
