Jeanette A. Karas, 88, a resident of Gurnee, IL, passed away January 22, 2025, at Bickford Memory Care in Gurnee, IL. She was born January 22, 1937, in Chicago, IL to Anthony and Catherine Romano.
Jeanette is survived by her children Steve (Sally) Karas of Round Lake Beach, Karen (Michael) Vitale of Gurnee, and Georgia (John Sr.) Anderson of Gurnee, her grandchildren Nicholas Vitale, Betsy Stranathan, Suzanne Anderson, John Anderson Jr., Vincent Vitale, Jenna Charbonneau, and Sabrina Karas, and her 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband George Karas.
A memorial visitation and service are scheduled for Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030, from 11:00am until 12:00pm with the memorial service commencing at 12:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fat Cat Rescue in Wadsworth, IL.
