Brian Kenneth Kooopmann "Hunter", age 63, of Highwood, Illinois, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago. Brian was born on September 18, 1961, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, to the first born to Bob and Karen (Hunter) Koopmann.
He attended Highland Park High School class of 1979, Brian was known for his boundless energy and unmatched skill set. He was a true "jack of all trades" with a talent for everything from plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry, to roofing, siding, and janitorial services. As the owner of his own business, Koopmann Construction and Hunter the Hammer Services, Brian took pride in helping others, always quick to lend a hand and eager to tackle any project. His work ethic and commitment to his craft were evident in every job he took on.
