Robert L. Schmitke passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 27 in Sarasota Florida. He lived a long and prosperous life for 90 years and 3 months,
Bob grew up in Peshtigo, WI and attended Carroll University in Waukesha, WI. His professional career began working as an agent in New Jersey with Washington National Insurance Company. He then was transferred to the Chicago Group office where he spent the next 30 years. He then started his own brokerage business, Robert L. Schmitke Associates, and worked until 1993. Bob and Rita lived in Lincolnshire, IL for 45 years and then in 2012 they moved permanently to Sarasota, FL
Bob spent 2.5 years in the Army and received many top producer rewards with Washington National Insurance Company
