JoAnne Marie Werr, née Kopp, 91, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at her home. Born January 27, 1933, in Chicago, she was a resident of Northbrook before moving to Libertyville, where she lived for the past 23 years. She was a former member of the Women's Guild at Our Lady of the Brook Parish in Northbrook and enjoyed her book club and volunteering for the food pantry in Libertyville.
Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Charles Werr; five children, Mary Jo (Steve) Haubrich, Meg (Doug) Dicks, Katie (John) Han, Charlie (Anne) Werr, and Jennifer (Tom) Schnefke; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Kathleen Brown, Faye (Ken) Schroeder, and the late Janet Allen.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave., Libertyville. Funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 E. Maple Ave., Libertyville. Memorials can be made to Lurie Children's Hospital.
